Dimeric Inhibin A
(DIA)

Inhibin A is a protein released by the placenta during normal pregnancy, and is necessary for the normal development of the unborn baby. High blood levels are seen in women who are carrying a baby with Down syndrome, and are also seen in some ovarian cancers.
