Antistreptolysin O Titer

Antibodies are produced by the body as a normal response to infections. ASO titer is a blood test that measures the amount of antibodies produced due to a strep (streptococcal) infection that has resulted in the further development of inflammation of the heart or kidneys, rheumatic fever, or scarlet fever.
