Albumin

Albumin is a liver protein normally present in the blood. Low albumin blood levels are used to diagnose liver disease. The proteins albumin and globulin make up total blood protein levels, and are usually measured as part of a panel of blood tests to measure liver function, diagnose liver disease, and to monitor your response to treatment.
